Toronto was abuzz on June 3rd as the Ton arrived in full regalia to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2, set to debut on Netflix on June 13th. The elegant Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres in downtown Toronto provided a perfect backdrop for this glamorous event, which was attended by excited fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite characters and immerse themselves in the Bridgerton world.
As one of the fortunate attendees, I can attest to the sheer excitement and joy that permeated the air. The event kicked off with lively interviews by Nicola Coughlan, who portrays the beloved Penelope Featherington. Her presence set the tone for the evening, offering fans a delightful introduction to the night’s festivities.
The theatre itself was transformed into a Bridgerton-inspired wonderland. Live music filled the air, with classical orchestral covers creating an enchanting atmosphere. The setup was complemented by elegant silhouette portraits allowing guests to truly feel a part of the Bridgerton era. To add to the charm, fans were provided with vintage hand fans, a thoughtful touch that resonated well with the theme. Guests were greeted with refreshing specialty cocktails, aptly named 'Lady Bridgerton' and 'Whistledown & Dirty,' adding a delectable touch to the sophisticated ambiance.
Fashion was on full display as ladies donned English vintage gowns and dresses, resplendent with floral patterns, glittery sparkles, and delicate mesh and lace details. Rich fabrics and vibrant colors adorned romantic silhouettes and soft draping, paired exquisitely with silver heels and princess-like hairdos. Our gentlemen, ever the epitome of style, arrived in Victorian jackets, puffed sleeve shirts, and solid retro attire. Fitted trousers and leather boots completed their looks, outdoing even the fashion statements of the Regency era’s mid-1800s.
As for your humble writer, I too embraced the spirit of the occasion, gracing the event in a floral puffed sleeve dress. My hair was curled, I was adorned with a pearl accessory, and I wore silver heels to portray the royalty that the evening demanded.
Before the screening, Lainey Lui, the esteemed host, moderated a captivating discussion with Netflix stars Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) and Nicola Coughlan. Both actors made a striking appearance in their red carpet looks and provided a sweet introduction to the screening. Their one-word teaser to fans, "mirror," hinted at an intriguing element from the part two trailer, sparking even more anticipation for the upcoming episodes.
The screening itself was a visual and emotional feast, capturing the essence of Bridgerton that fans have come to love. Following the screening, the celebration continued with a toast led by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, marking the start of an unforgettable after-party at the Windsor Arms Hotel.
The after-party was a splendid affair, filled with laughter, music, and conversation. It was a perfect ending to an evening that felt like stepping into the pages of a Bridgerton novel. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Netflix for organizing such an amazing soirée. The Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 advent screening was not just an event but an experience that left everyone in attendance eagerly awaiting the new season. For all Bridgerton fans, June 13th cannot come soon enough!
Thats a great article…! Kudos 🤗
