Audio Production Associate

Description:

Radio FWD is recruiting for members of our production team! All applicants must submit a mandatory portfolio for consideration. The Audio Production Associate will assist staff, radio hosts, students and student groups on creative audio projects. This includes mixing and mastering audio tracks for airplay. A successful candidate will able to meet deadlines and will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of content creators. The Audio Production Associate will also assist the Technical Manager in ensuring all studio equipment and software is up to date, studio booking procedures are followed, and will be liaising with other producers and engineers to confirm bookings with students and/or other clients. The associate will be working with a dynamic team of creative individuals to fulfill their duties. May be asked to attend special events. Some training will be provided. Semesterly merit bonuses may be available.

 

Commitment:

  • 8-10 hours per week

We’re looking for:

  • Experience using ProTools, Logic Pro X, a multitude of DAWs

  • Experience working with students and not-for-profit organizations

  • Previous music, audio, and broadcasting experience is an asset, not mandatory

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong passion for different disciplines, styles, and genres of music

  • An open mind to non-commercial artists and bands

  • Experience in performance, programming, arts management and/or the music industry is an asset (Not Mandatory)

  • Working knowledge of current music publications and music events in Toronto is an asset (Not Mandatory)

  • Familiarity with the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, and the history/services of our radio station

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and music streaming services
