Amaka Queenette
Alternative R&B, Neo-Soul
Zachary Osborn, Music Associate, Radio FWD

After the release of her 2018 EP, Vacant, the Nigerian-born, Toronto singer/songwriter Amaka Queenette (née Amaka Azubuike) is back with her latest visual EP, Fleeting, Inconsequential. Inspired by Frank Ocean's 2016 visual album Endless, Amaka Queenette proves that she also has a knack for writing beautiful, melancholic songs. The visual EP revolves around themes of first love and the heartbreak of letting go. From writing 4 chord songs on her ukulele back in middle school to now writing some of the finest Neo-soul, alternative R&B songs coming out of Toronto, Amaka is a rising start. Having accomplished so much so early into her musical career, Amaka is an artist to watch out for and we can't wait to hear her future projects.
